New Jersey, across three bridges
Staten Island is joined to New Jersey by three crossings, and the towns on the far side of them are closer to our shop than a good part of Brooklyn. Community II works there regularly.
Neighborhoods
- Bayonne
- Elizabeth
- Linden
- Rahway
- Carteret
- Woodbridge
- Perth Amboy
By crossing
- Bayonne Bridge — Bayonne
- Goethals Bridge — Elizabeth, Linden, Rahway, Carteret
- Outerbridge Crossing — Perth Amboy, Woodbridge
The houses here
Bayonne and Elizabeth are dense and older — two- and three-family homes, a lot of them heated by boilers, much like Staten Island’s North Shore. Further south, Woodbridge and the towns around it are more suburban: detached homes with furnaces and central air.
What we do most here
- Boilers and radiators — for the older two- and three-family housing
- Furnaces — repair and replacement for forced-air homes
- Central air — repair, replacement, and seasonal service
- Water heaters — tank and tankless
Different state, different rebates
New Jersey homes are served by New Jersey utilities, and heat pump incentives there run through New Jersey’s own programs rather than Con Edison’s Clean Heat. The equipment is the same; the rebate math isn’t. We price it for the state you live in.
Further into New Jersey than this? Call and ask. Some jobs make sense and some don’t, and it’s better to hear that on the phone than after the fact.
